How much would you spend on an Australian Scolymia coral? $100, $400, maybe even $500? If the 500 is is upper limit, I’m afraid you’ll be losing out on this beauty. With just over three hours left on this ebay auction for the Insane Aussie Scolymia, the current bid is siting on $560.
The vendor has the following to say about this particular scolymia,
When our collector called and said that he was sending us the best scolymia he had ever seen in 4 years, we couldn’t believe it. And when it got here, we STILL couldn’t believe it. This thing is UNREAL! The colors absolutely GLOW! Pictures do it NO justice. This piece is INSANE!
I predict the final price will be closer to the $700 mark.

Ugh, why do you promote these lowlife fad coral sellers? Anthony Calfo’s scorn of this practice said it best in his interview on this website!

Your comment is very valid, and I appreciate it. I was dumbstruck when I saw how much this coral was going for and wanted to share it with everybody. Perhaps the way I worded my post isn’t the best and led to promoting the auction instead of highlighting the sheer madness of it all.
However, there is no denying that it is a beautiful specimen.
